Hi. I might get my hands on a PO 2201.50. I received pics from the seller and noticed the "PROFESSIONAL" isn't written on the clasp as it is on the 45.5mm version. I was wondering if it was similar to the Speedy's where only the 3570.50 is considered the Pro watch.

No big deal, but I'm just asking myself if the smaller model is somewhat frowned upon by purists. I have the 3570.50 and 42mm is just perfect for me.

:thanks

Some do, some don't. I think the older ones may not have them, but new ones do

Both the 42mm and the 45.5mm have "Professional" on their dials so I don't think that Omega considers one to be superior to the other. Nor do I think that the 42mm is "frowned upon" by purists. I think that the choice of 42 over 45.5, or vice versa, is simply a subjective decision based on size. I plan to get the 42mm becuase I think it will be more versatile.

He's talking about the clasp not the dial

I got my first 42mm 2201.50 Planet Ocean back in May 2005 and it didn't have "Professional" written on the clasp.
When Omega replaced it (long story) in June last year, the clasp on my new model had "Professional" written on the clasp.
Merely an update, nothing more. Same as that little globe-with-the-Omega-logo-encircling-it engraving that they've been using for the last 3 years or so.

Is the same thing. Mine is without the "Professional". I like it this way, more cleaner look
