Ok guys, I just located an yellow face Emergency , what I did not know was that they have the NON SuperQuartz version of it too :-s and I don't know if that will make a huge difference on price and value.....Please throw your opinions at me on how you guys feel about buying the non Superquartz version and what its a good deal for a non SuperQuartz.....I also found the Super quartz version from another place not a forum and it's the blue face one. Both of them were purchased on 2007. Please let me know so I can make a decision..I mean is any way to identify the superquartz by the serial number or the face of the watch?????.damn now I definitely need to get my Emergency...:-d

Ill let the E people get in on the pricing, but if they are both from 2007 they should both be SQ. The regular quartz was replaced by the SQ in 2002.

There's a dial difference between quartz and superquartz? has the watch been serviced yet? as i understand, when you send the quartz in for a service, they upgrade it to the superquartz free of charge. i know my E was not originally superquartz, and now it is.

two and a half sounds like a great price, either way. maybe that's just me.

Actually from a quick evaluation I found that the SuperQuartz Writes: "Chronometre Emergency" under the word Breitling......the older version only says Emergency....but I may be wrong...

No, you are exactly right. Chonometre = SuperQuartz.

That is the indication that the watch has been through the COSC testing process.

Well, if the yellow doesn't say that it very definitely was not purchased new in 2007.

OK guys just pulled the trigger on the yellow one and I love the yellow on the E, and yes the yellow is SQ because it has the word "CHRONOMETRE" on the dial. Thanks to all of you for all the answers and help and specially Don & RJ. Thanks again and I will post pictures as soon as I get it..... :)
