I have read that Sinn Watches has a 2 year lead on using submarine steel for its watches. I have ordered a U1 and was wonderin if this is true, does that mean that Sinn will be the first to use submarine steel and their value will increase??????

The value might go up if they keep on gaining in popularity.

that I dived with the U2 last week, and the steel really impressed me. The watch bumped several things on the boat, including another watch i had on my wrist as a depthmeter. No dent, scratches or anything at all. It seems the Sinn has reached a level of significant quality in this field.

According to what I know, yes it is the first to use submarine steel. As to increase in value, it remains to be seen. Anything that is collectible depends on the combination of 3 criteria:

1) rarity
2) demand
3) brand
