Help, got a flyback but don't know if it is spoit

Hi,

I got a shadow flyback from ebay today. When I receive it, the chronometer is on. Once I press the top button, both the chronometer and the time stopped.

In another words, the watch will not move unless the chronometer is on.

I have never used a chronomat watch before. Have I missed out something or the watch is spoit?
