So I'd long had a Lemania 5100 based chrono and with the economic down turn had picked up a Valjoux 7750 based chrono. Then is was an El Primero, bridging my 36000 bph collection with my chronos. This led to a Seiko 6139A and Heuer/Breitling caliber 11. As I was looking at what other vintage auto chrono movements were out there I found that Citizen introduced a 23J flyback column wheel vertical clutch chrono in 1970. That's one heck of a lot of sophistication.
These things are currently available in refurbed condition for under $150. Hard to imagine being able to get this much for so little dosh.
Here's the one I bought that just arrived in today's mail.
