Picked this up from ebay the other day. Obviously repolished and with an unoriginal dial. But I'm really happy with it anyway. Perfect size, not as big, as it seems in pics and runs well. I changed the bracelet with another Citizen bracelet that I had.
I think these chronograps just have something very japanese about them. It sort of looks like a face with big eyes and maybe that is why the japanese call it the Mickey Mouse.
Chronographs have only a limited number of configurations in which their dials can come. This configuration has been in use for at least 60-70 years.
Heuer pioneered the automatic chrono. If this were one, you would find, in real terms, it had hardly depreciated.
But in vintage chronos some of the best bargains are Seikos and Citizens. Unless abused, they are usually still solid runners. You have a good find!!
Following that, they are more expensive but the non-namebrand Swiss can be found priced for every pocket.
Here is a winder I have... well, my watchmaker has. It needs a COA. (He said this one obviously sat in a drawer most of it's life. It was not a bit dirty but the old oil had dried up... my only complaint - again, the cost of service equals the cost of acquisition... oh well...)

Bullheads are cool, and the automatic chronographs of the 70's are quite a value as Eeeb stated above. One of these days I'll have a Seiko 6139.

i have the exact same one but in poor condition. I've been looking for a 8110 movement for 6 months now

Thanks for the comments.
Regarding the dial configuration I think the pushers on the top adds to the Mickey Mouse nickname
I also have an older windup chrono (Gotham) which I by using the timing method described to me by JohnF, have decided needs service. It seems to slow down when running for days in a row. I don't mind taking the costs, compare it to what a half decent new watch costs in the shop here and I'd rather have the chrono.

Isn't that the truth!! I posted 5 of my Heuers in the TAG forum... most are NOS. I pointed out their total cost about equaled the cost of 1 new TAG chrono ;-) ...
Hummmmm... maybe we should keep quiet about this :-s

SHHHHHH!!!! If you spill the beans, they'll be less for us vintage collectors. But then again, the novices end up with the redials, frankens and fakes because they think they got a "steal". ;-)
