I have seen, on Craiglist, people that claim to sell Tourneau $1,000 coupon cards, towards the purchase of a Breitling (or $500 for the purchase of a TAG).
They sell these $500 or so.
Are these real coupons apparently sent to "valued customers" that have bought several watches? Or is that a scam?

Ron confirmed it for you, and the theory behind it sounds reasonable, assuming that the B you buy is about 3k or more.
There must be some minimum price restrictions, right? Otherwise you can end up with a colt quartz on rubber for just over a grand.

I also have one in hand, PM me if interested. I just read the back of the card I have and the only thing it says is, This card cannot be combined with any other promotions or offers. So what does that mean? I guess I could use it for the purchase of a Colt quartz on a rubber band fo just over $1000 like RJRJRJ said. I am going to call Tourneau today and see what the deal is.

I called Tourneau and I was told there is no price restriction when using the $1000 gift card, I asked about a Colt quartz on Pro 2 bracelet and it is $2445.00 so you were to use the gift card it would make the Colt $1445 plus tax. What is the lowest priced Breitling available?

Wow...Im looking to get the New Seawolf SS, I think the retail is 3500 (ish) so this woul make it 2500, I guess you pay tax on the 3500? can anyone confirm that?

Dont think you would pay tax on the 3500. Many moons ago now I bought a Chrono Avenger from them with a 30% off coupon someone graciously posted on TZ. I only paid for tax on the discounted price.

2500m_sub is correct you would pay the Tax on the discount price not the retail price.

You can negotiate with whomever you like. Some places are more willing to work with you than others though. Tourneau is one of the places known for being a bit more stingy with the discounts. If youre buying a 5k+ breitling, youd be better served working for a good discount instead of using the thousand dollars off coupon.

I guess the value of the deal depends on the watch you are looking at. I recently purchased a new Breitling from an AD who offered me a similar discount without any such card. It seems now is definitely the time to negotiate some great deals. I definitely wouldn't spend $500 on a coupon, when you could probably negotiate a similar deal on a $2500 watch.

Just got mine today, but i think i'm going to see if my AD will do the same deal or better on a new B
The one thing it doesnt state, new or pre-owned :-s
If that is the case and they have a nice pre-owned,you may get a real sweet deal i would think :-!

:-d Love it, allmost makes me want to get behind the counter again. This
promotion is really getting a of lot buzz on the forums. Oh, and Tourneau
doesn't stack discounts and I know someone is thinking about that. I
got a lot of mileage out of the $100 certs I used to give out.

I've heard that the discounts DO apply to the $1000 coupons. I'm eye balling a seawolf right now can anybody confirm this?
