Hello All,
I really like the look of the Nur Spec and would like to hear from someone who owns one of them. I'm particularly interested to know about the accuracy and the luminosity as the rest of the watch meets my specifications. General comments about the quality would be appreciated as well.
Look forward to any replies.

Hi Andy,
I own one, but did not wear it to long, just in the house for a few hours, because it looked too big on my small wrist.
I must say the build quality on this is excellent as is the price and customer service from Ian. The luminosity of the watch is very legible at night. I can't attest to the accuracy, because I put it away, as I didn't want to accidentally bang it on something. I am selling my watch. All the functions on the watch work, which I can't say for another name brand watch I bought and the chronograph portion didn't work and this one new sells for much more than the Kremke.
If Ian makes a bit smaller version I would absolutely buy it.
I hope this helps?

Hello Andy,
From one of Ian's pictures of the chronograph's back, it looks like (of course I'm not sure) the balance wheel has the familiar "curved spokes" indicative of a glucydur balance; found on only the higher grades of the Valjoux 7750 movement. The grade of movement is something held very closely to the vest by all watch manufactures/assemblers (except MIDO).
Unless you have strong evidence to the contrary, you must assume the lowest grade of ETA movement in any watch, i.e. like Fortis, Anonimo, Damasko, etc.; these companies are all about watch cases, not movements. Nothing particularly wrong with that, except overall accuracy will not be as good, at least over the long term.

I understand Damasko use Chronometer grade movements in their watches and Fortis use Top grade movements in theirs

What's the basis of your "understand"?

Damasko's website is a good start, its quite informative, plus I've seen the inside of a DA36 and a Fortis B-42 Official Cosmonaut Day Date and can confirm that to be the case.

Thanks; that's good enough for me.
