View Full Version : Chrono water resistance?

Looking forward to my incoming Blackbird. It's so legible, I'll want to use the chronos a lot. Its water resistance is listed as 300M, and the chrono pushers are screw-down.

Here's my scenario - let's say I'm hiking, walking or running with the chrono operating and the pushers unscrewed. The watch will get all sweaty and I'd want to rinse it off under the tap when I get home to get the sweat out from inside the screw-down pusher-covers. Maybe even go over the watch lightly with my super-soft badger-hair toothbrush purchased just for watches.

Would that tapwater rinse be OK with the pushers unscrewed? I've rinsed my Super Avenger (with non-screw-down pushers) and usually hold the watch with the pushers away from the flow of water....

The screwdown function is only to prevent the pushers from accidentally being pushed while under water and have no impact on water resistance. The watch is fully water resistant to its rated depth with the pushers unscrewed.

Is this for sure guys? The watch can be immersed into the water with chrono buttons screwed off - is it correct? Want to be sure. Thank you.

no problem as long you prior have your regular water Resistance check
the water Resistance is not effected by the lock of the pushers any way
