as requested, here is a quick summary of the defy series article in the oct 06 issue of watchtime.
the defy series comes in eight models. the design was inspired by race cars. the classic watches are priced from $6,000 to $10,500; xtreme watches from $11,500 to $21,000; tourbillon chrono is priced at $125,000. the defy series is big, with five of them measuring 46.5 mm in diameter. Those same five are powered by the awesome el primero. the other three measure 43 mm and are powered by the elite series.
the xtreme series have cases made of black titanium. the dials have aluminum, hesalite and carbon fiber. the push buttons have carbon fiber inserts. the bracelets are made of brushed stainless steel with kevlar lateral inserts. they are water resistant to 1,000 meters and all (even the tourbillon) come with a helium escape valve at the 10 position. the hour and minute hand are rhodium plated, with red super luminova inserts. the tourbillion has a el primero 4035 sx. the open chrono and chrono have a el primero 4021 sx. the power reserve has a elite sx
