I gave my wife my 145.022 Speedy bec. she loved it and as an excuse to get cal. 321 in the future:-d. We had a bad argument in the car and she tossed it to the dashboard and made a sickening sound. I didn't even want to look. In my mind i see a broken hand or a cracked crystal or a dinged case. I couldn't even hear what she was saying anymore:-x And i was pretending i was listening to her so it took a lot from me not to to dive to the watch and check. I did as soon as i she got off the car. I was sure the chrono wasn't running but this time it was. That got me a bit worried. I stopped and reset the chronograph a couple of times and it was fine. But do you think it may have been damaged? Thanks for letting me share my horror story

I'm sorry to hear about your day RT, a fight with a spouse is never easy:-( I had a far worse day with my family and I will not get into it since I'm still trying to comprehend what had happened. It's probably why I sort of snapped at the Howard Stern thread earlier today. Sorry if you took offense omegawtchlvr, that was not my intentions:-(
Anyway, I don't think you have anything to worry about. I could see the chrono coming engaged from the impact but since you mentioned that it seems to work fine, I wouldn't try to worry about it too much. Aside from that, keep an eye on it's time keeping to see if it has changed any.
I would think it's ok though. You have other things to worry about so try not to worry about the Speedy too much. After all, the Speedy can be repaired. Try to work out the differences with your wife and try not to hold that incident against her. I'm obviously not in any position to give advice about your situation but stress can cause a lot more harm to a person than what a Speedy repair bill comes up too.
Take care.

Come on, it's just a watch and can be easily repaired or even replaced for the most part.

Look, a wife is just a wife, I've had three now, all slightly different models and made in different years, but you can always pick up another one. A Speedy though, well they are for life so take great care of it and get your priorities right. ....... :-x ..........:-d

A watch... is a watch.
Bah!!
Kick her to the curb. It's time for a new model anyway !!
But there is only one Speedy.
What she did was unconscionable and certainly grounds for divorce

Next time, you get into a big argument again ( I am hoping not) and before she throws the Speedy right before your very eyes, tell her this: "NO, please don't toss the Speedy, I'll get you a big diamond ring; I will take you to Europe and I will do the laundry all the time!" :-d
Seriously, I don't think that the Speedy, is broken. My friend dropped her expensive watch on the pavement, twice, probably 3 feet high. It didn't get damaged and still works with no damage at all.
Our wives are fragile, the Speedy tougher! :-d
Give your wife a kiss, before she sleeps. Everything will be fine! :-!
Cheers.

Lame! I could never imagine my wife throwing one of my watches. Would be the last watch I ever gave her.

Judging from some of the replies, it was probably not the best idea posting this up on a watch forum.
Good luck with your wife, it sounds like your watch is fine. ~ David

Sounds like my girlfriend. She got mad at me, for nothing and hit my arm which I just had surgery on. Ouch!

Hey! Your Speedy was working after being thrown in a fit of rage? I'd write to Omega so that the can print your horror story as proof of how tough they are. At least you have a functional item in a disfunctional and hostile environment!

:-):-):-)!! I just might ask for one. Better than getting a replacement Speedy if it broke:-d
Oh, and the score is... Speedy - 8 Neutral - 2 Wife - 4. Speedy wins:-d
But seriously, thanks guys for the support. Hope things get back to normal just in time for Father's Day this Sunday.

Tough watch! Lesson learned. Don't argue with you wife while she's holding your watch. Or if she's near your car :-d
