If you can't tolerate the new zenith style and "elegance" dont visit this link.

A remake of the 6th Sense starring me, "I can see a dead watch brand."

Hm. I really don't know what to say. I looked at the pictures and I really just don't have anything to say.

I hope that is not the case because Zenith has so many fine movements to it's name and have in the past made excellent timepieces that work fantastic for many years. Have to admit that I am not a fan of their new "extreme" lines. But I imagine the problem they are trying to solve is a marketing one: how to stand out in the marketplace that has so many really fine brands all competing for the consumer dollar. How can they possibily have the funds to advertise enough if they don't make designs that just are so outrageous that they sell themselves and get the positive buzz started. Of course, I don't know their executives and I know they changed ownership a while back. What a loss if we lose all of their traditional lines! I hope this doesn't happen. It looks to me that they are trying to find a category buster design, something like the Royal Oak. Most people though, at least ones who I have heard express an opinion, don't like the new line. Will it bring in the new customers they want? We'll see.

they are hoping to cash in on the *loud* crowd. You know, they drive flashy cars, wear flashy jewelry. The I got it and I flaunt it crowd. Rolex has appealed to them for years with their diamond encrusted wrist wear. Same as Omega to a smaller extent. Who knows? Maybe that is where the cash is now-a-days.

In the end, we'll be around to see if they were successful or not.

Hello,
Easy solution for a difficult problem:sack the one resposible for these designs and also the one who approved them!!

Me neither - my comment, while looking at the new Zenith line at Bailey Banks and Biddle was "A bit too trendy for my taste." The watches were huge and beautiful, but had to many gimmics on them for me.
