Hi Breitling lovers.
I have recently bought a Chrono Avenger M1:
http://forums.watchuseek.com/showthread.php?t=20364
and i have now used it a lot and the M1 is really nice, but the watch is supossed to be a regatta version, and the red munute hand nr 2 is supposed to line up to the blue and red markings starting at 10 o clock and towards 12 o clock when i press the pushpiece nr A (right upper pushpiece) and count downt 10 minutes , as is the official time from the signal goes to the regatta startes.
On my M1 i have got the ordinary Stopwatch function, and they are functioning well, but i have the regatta markings on the dials. Am i supposed to have both functions on the watch, or just the regatta countdown? The usermanual covers both versions, and dont give me an straight answer.
Am a little bit confused, please help...:thanks

What you have to do is to "set" the minute hand nr 2 at the "start" of the blue marking. You do that by (if I remember correctly) pull the crown out as if you'd set the minute/hour hands. After that you push one of the chrongraph buttons(never remember which one) untill the red minute hand is alligned with the blue markings.
I was told by my friend who has worked as att watchmaker for Breitling that this Team SEB watch never got produced in the full 250 pieces as they couldn't get them out on the market quickly enough for the race.

Thank you for the reply Fredrik.
I have tryed it out now and you are prefectly right:
loosen the crown and let i stay in position 2, and then use pushpiece nr B: the right lower one, to move the red minute totalizer.
So.... If i am in a ragatta mode i just do as mentioned above... and if i want to use it as an ordinary cronometre stopwatch function, i just have to reverse the ajustments.
Perfect......|> :gold i like it... i like it alot...hehe

Just some trivia, I bought my watch through my buddy who worked for Breitling Sweden, and he told me that this version actually never got produced in 250 pieces but I don't know the exact number but I got one for my friend and he has number if I remember correctly. They had some problems when they made it and couldn't supply the ADs etc with it in time for the race. From what I heard they supplied SEB (bank in Sweden) with a lot of the watches to be given/sold to the employees.

Thanx for info Fredrik.
My SEB M1 has the nr 137 of 250. I got it from an AD in Norway, i ordered an ordinary M1 with yellow dials and rubber strap, but they could not deliver it for many months, so i was offered the SEB version for the same cost: 23000 Norwegian kroner, about 2705 euro.
Nice watch, and i want to purchase a titan "strap" for it, because i have so big hands that i have to use the second outer hole in the diver strap.

I personally think this version is much cooler than the ordinary version so I think you made a wise descision getting this one instead. I bought the UTC + titanium braclet for it aswell. Sadly the color of the UTC is the "Emergency yellow" which is a bit different than the M1 yellow but it's only noticable if you look at it close up. when I bought mine (a year ago) I had not seen ONE on person on all the Breitling forums with the ordinary version. during the following 6 months I believe I saw 4-5 posts where people had bought the yellow m1(not our versionB-)) with black rubber strap!
Btw, I use the first hole on my rubber strap, my wrists are tiny:-)
I'm thinking about getting the Professional II braclet without the UTC aswell, very nice look with that one!

Hi again Fredrik.
The braclet with the UTC on, is that a professional 2 or is it another type?
Im thinking of buying a titamium braclet to my M1, but i think i have seen original M1 with a different braclet, as a more symetric lines on it and with a little rougher design than the Professional 2?
Maybe its a earlier model braclet?
Anyone ?

Yeah... remember this picture?!
BUSA took the UTC back at the end... they acknowledged the color difference...

I've got the "older version" of the professional braclet, I kind of regret not getting the Pro2 version which in my opinion is nicer, I think you can get a pro 1 braclet on ebay etc quite cheap but if you do see to that you get one for the M1 as the end pieces are different between the models.

Hi Altan! I had the same problem, and I clearly stated this BEFORE I ordered the utc as the color difference in the AD catalouge is clearly visible. They said that it would be the same colour (as it clearly isn't). I spoke to my friend att breitling and he said the yellow colour is from the emergency....I kept my utc though.

Thanks again for great info fredrik, i must say that i like the older pro braclet better, i will talk to my AD and check out the price for it, if it is still available from them then, the pro 2 braclet is sold for 6000NOK or about 710Euro.
