Very thorough thanks for your time :-)
I am so CDO that I am afraid to crack open a watch...I am very technical and handy so it would be right up my alley....but a whole other can of worms to rack my brain! heh
Nice breakdown nhoJ thanks.

Gabe asked me for some details describing what is going on in each picture. I am a complete hack, so I apologize to those who know far more than me. All corrections would be appreciated.
I think you did a great job. Posts like this give me confidence to slowly work into a movement. Not yet, but getting there.
Mine would have gone something like,
Step one: take the big pizza cutter looking thing off, Crap, screwdriver slipped and tore a gouge in it.
step two: pull off this springy looking thing, Dang what was that "Sproing: noise followed by the tick tick tick sound across the floor? And did something just poke me in the eye?
Step three: gently pry this piece, "Snap" @#$%$#@!
Step 4: take a shot and decide to call my watchmaker and humbly ask for assistance or just hide the evidence and buy a new movement.
