This Orient Three Star 25 Jewel Automatic is from the 1960-1970 era.. It is waterproof..

As with most mens dress watches from this time.. there is no lume on the dial or hands..

The date is quickset using the pusher at two o'clock and the day is set by rotating the hands back and forth past 12 midnight..

This watch goes quite nicely with a brown leather strap..

Nice watch. Quite conservative for Japanese watches of the time!

I have three of the Orient "rainbow" divers from the 1970s. One with the blue dial and two with the pinkish dial (diff cases.) I am constantly amazed at the quality of the finish for a cheap watch (£20 each off ebay). The finish on the dial, the batons, the solid feel of the date shift is superb (the date shift feels better than any or my other Jap watches. Really positive change.) I had one serviced and my watchmaker said the construction of the movement was better than most modern mechanicals he has seen. No plastic parts. Now serviced it is keeping time at about +20 seconds a day which is not bad.

Gorgeous piece and even at 35+ years old, still looks good. This is what I call, timeless design!
