I have just recently got my first Omega. A Seamaster Polaris SS/YG. Got it for 425 dollar on Ebay from a Japanese seller. I've read somewhere this model was not very popular. Still Omega produced watches with this design between 1982 and 1994? This model got a 54XXXXXX serial no.
I am about to save up for my next Omega. Which model I am not sure of yet.
I have owned Rolex and Breitling earlier, but these were sold in a bad financial period.

Well, I'm glad you like it.

I liked it at this price level. I am used to watches with a diameter of 40mm++.

Thanks. It was a comfort buy after I lost an ebay auction for a HEQ watch I was bidding on.
Here's a better photo. Same as used in the Seamaster Club thread. The first two photos were not good.

I received this as a gift around 1990. It runs and looks great. Good luck with yours.

I know it's not Omega's best looking watch, but it IS an Omega, OK! ;-)
I consider it a starter watch for a Omega collection.

Great looking watch! :-!
They are the best for vintage, since you can get them affordably and they look very sophisticated. Mine are almost always worn by my wife:
