A friend of mine whom I purchased a mercedes from has a very nice vintage 18k Omega Constellation that he bought from new.
He is an old man and he seems not too keen to let it go. I offered him a car to part exchange with it however his answer was; 'It's been with me fro 30 years!
I was just wondering what the price is for a nice watch like this.
The case and band are gold.
Thanks in advance

sounds to me like it might be priceless ... to him!

Yes, you're quite right but it seems to me that if I parted it out with something more close to his liking he would have traded.
He is a well-know business man here. So he tends to give away sentimental items in exchange for a better deal.
Any ideas on what figures are we talking for this type of watch?
because I don't want to give him more money for the watch than it's worth..

We'll really need good pics of the watch to make any sort of valuation - huge variability depending on model and condition. I'd say price range is from 2-2.5k for a 70s C-type connie to over 15k for a pink gold '50s grand luxe with snake bracelet. If its white gold then the sky's the limit!

I think the best option is to first identify the watch - could be a deluxe, grand luxe or standard model with a milanese bracelet.
Then check out the completed listings on eBay and other internet sources.
For any gold Omega Connie these days youre not paying peatnuts, and if its a GL then you may need to swap a car rather than a part :)
Cheers
