View Full Version : Stupid questions from a new watch owner...

Still lovin' my Pilot B! Two (of possibly many more) questions from a newbie to watch-dom:
1 - Lume - what gives the watch the energy to Lume. Does it recharge in light? And if so, is it a case where the more light, the more powerful it will be (and for a longer length of time)?
2 - Winding the watch - clockwise or counter clockwise? And can winding in the "wrong" direction hurt the watch?
Thanks in advance for your responses.

you can charge the lume by shining a flash light over the dial. An ledl lgiht works pretty well. so does just putting it up close to a lamp. The lume on our watch is not all that spectacular, but thenagain it's not a diver. i'd rate the lume as average for its longevity after having a light source on it.
wind the watch clockwise. you should avoid windingit counterclockwise. i'm pretty sure these miyota movements have the clutch mechanism that prevent over winding.

thanks man. yeah, the lume hasn't bowled me over - but it had nothing to do with my decision to buy the watch. it's like a nice bonus feature.
