Well, just wanted to thank the members here for the recommendations on ADs when I decided to purchase a PO last week. After checking out some local SoCal Omega dealers, I ended up phoning in an order from the FAD on Monday, and on Tuesday, my 2209.50 arrived :-! I think it's quite stunning. I needed to take out 3 1/2 links for a nice fit on my 7" wrist and I still have no clue where the wet-suit extension is (or if there even is one?), but I do know it's going to be one of my keepers. 6 months ago, I purchased my Japanese divewatch grail (Seiko MarineMaster 300) and now I have one of my Omega divewatch grails too.

Anyhow, here are some pics:

With my other keeper, the MM300:

Just wanted to share. Extremely happy about my new PO. :-)

42 or 45?

Thanks! It's the 42mm. The 45.5 felt and looked to large to me when I tried it on.

Yes there is a wet-suit extension. Just pop the end open (on the 12pm side) and you'll find it. It extends it 1.25 inches.

Just be careful when closing the extension. The section with the hole has to go in first, so that it will lock properly.

You'll know if it's not locked correctly as the extension won't sit perfectly level and the main clasp won't feel right on your arm.

Congrats on a fine watch.

I'm really starting to like the orange again what with all the posts of late. Not that I've ever disliked it, it's just a constant change in taste. Might have to pop into the AD and try one on:think:

Always happy to see when a new PO owner joins the ranks.

Still think that orange is the best color for the PO; nice choice. |>

Congrats on the new piece.

Yes there is a wet-suit extension. Just pop the end open (on the 12pm side) and you'll find it. It extends it 1.25 inches.

You'll know if it's not locked correctly as the extension won't sit perfectly level and the main clasp won't feel right on your arm.

Just to expand on this, to open the extension, take off the watch, hold the clasp up so that you can read the text, then bend the link closest to the bottom of the clasp down and towards the back of the clasp. The extension will unfold in two pieces. You can then close the clasp normally to leave the extension deployed.

To close the extension, note that the end of the extension has a tongue. When you fold the extension back into the clasp, make sure that the tongue goes under the bar in the clasp, and then snap the link closest to the clasp back into place.

Don't let people tell you the 42mm is the "girly size". Check mine compared to other Omega, it's not a small size at all!

Congratulations on a great watch!!! I have to ask, how do you get such great shots? What camera do you use?

Actually, I take horribly mediocre shots, at best, but to answer your question, I just use a Canon PowerShot point and shoot. Nothing special!

Thanks for the nice comments regarding my new PO, everyone! :-!

Oh, and thanks to the replies on how to work the bracelet extension, finally figured it out.

Dope collection

:thanks, I have a Speedmaster Reduced (L.A. Olympics Commemorative) not pictured and a Speedmaster Sapphire Sandwich incoming. Obviously not pictured :-d .

Took me some years and lots of saving money (and flipping stuff on eBay) to build that collection!
