John, while I don't use Continentals myself, I work in a dealership and have seen first hand that some of Continental's tires are, for lack of a better word, junk. We've had new cars coming in with 20000 miles and their Conti's were shot, worn out and all chopped up. They were not the top-of-the-line tires, mind you, these were the basic ones put on at the factory. But it's made me very leery of ever using any of their tires. You may want to look into Consumers Report, I know they do reviews of tires periodically and may have info on the specific ones you are considering. Hope this helps!
