Found this on another forum:

This watch uses the Bulova tuning fork movement (ESA 916 2), which is the same movement used by Omega for their f300hz watches.

The connection between Omega and Titus is intriguing (they seem to share a lot of parts) - here is a link to a forum discussing the watches: http://www.thewatchforum.co.uk/lofiversion/index.php/t28365.html

Explains why the case looks so much like an Omega when I first saw it.

See if your crystal has the tiny Omega logo etched on it.

Great find and also means that you will be able to fairly easily get repairs made. A few tuning fork people work on these.

I don't see the logo on the crystal, but the guy I bought it off did say it is basically the same as an Omega, just with a different name on the face. I didn't know if that was true or not but I liked the look of the watch so much I had to buy it.

This crystal looks pretty good, so it may have even been replaced.
In any event, your case, except for the caseback, is virtually identical to my Cosmic. Would be interested to see more of the bracelet that came with yours.

I heard somewhere that the Titus TF watches were pretty much rebranded Omega watches!! Can't remember the reason for this.......I'll have to have a dig around!!

The TF watches do have a very nice smooth sweep tho don't they b-)

Lots of people encased the ESA tuning fork movements as this post (http://forums.watchuseek.com/showthread.php?p=2077299#poststop) shows.

A bunch of spare movements came into the market a couple of years ago. I am fairly sure a number of these have appeared as NOS Titus tuning fork watches. 99% of the Titus tuning fork watches on the market are NOS...

Thanks for the replies everyone, a lot of information to process. Hey mrsnak, you've got a great collection of sweepers so far, I've got an Omega DeVille f300Hz due any day now I just need to get a battery and bracelet to finish it off. I'll post a couple of pics when it arrives, maybe you guys can give me some advice on its authenticity.

Yup, they all use the Bulova TF mov't as far as I know?? I've seen an Omega Seamaster, your De Ville and my Constellation so far.....wonder if Omega did any others???

Omega only used the ESA tuning fork movements. Indeed, besides Universal Geneve and Citizen, no one other than Bulova used actual Bulova movements, to the best of my knowledge.

Omega did a lot of encasements of the ESA. But I think most were labeled DeVille or Constellations.
