One of the better ones I have seen, let me know what you think. The crystal/lens has some yellowing and a scratch.
I am still looking up the serial number and the Ord Dept number on the back of the case, any good reference websites would be greatly appreciated.
Here are some pics.

I'm not familiar with the case serial numbers but the movement serial number will accurately date the watch. I would estimate it around 1920 but it might be earlier.
Thanks for posting.

The dial and hands looks like the Waltham 6/0 size watch from 1940s?

Serial No. OG-139XXX,
OG indicates a 7 to 9 jewel wrist watch in a waterproof case.
The waterproof cases were introduced in large scale around 1943-44.
It appears to be a Waltham 6/0 size, 9 jewel, Model 10609.
Should be fitted with a one or two piece stitched cotton canvas strap of this type:

I stand corrected by the military experts. The dial looks older than 1940 to me but the case dates the watch accurately.

In 1942 most all non-war effort work stopped in the US and existing items were pressed into war service. Since, military watches were being produced and there was no reason to change the style of the dial, the design looks earlier that the manufacture of the watch would indicate.
But, having said that, it is also possible that an earlier watch with the cup-type case (non-waterproof) was transplanted by a third or fourth echlon repair station into a newer waterproof case after it had been exposed to water. This was recommended if waterproof cases were available. This would change the case back serial number from an "OC" (7 to 9 jewel non-waterproof case) to and OG (7 to 9 jewel, waterproof case.)

Great watch, Cienfuegos :-) I picked this Waltham up from ebay last year.
Pics are a little small...sorry. I don't have much info on this watch either.

Same as the other one, 9 jewel Waltham model 10609 in a waterproof case.
I can't tell from the images, are the cases chrome plated or stainless steel?
