Hi there,

This morning at 06:08 (summertime) I got a call from a colleague that he needed my help for a support issue (IT can be hard sometimes) and after he explained the problem, he mentioned that I had one our extra sleep to compensate. I didn't even know that it was Wintertime time again

Just yesterday, I was counting how often you have to set your watch for date-issues and came to only 5 times. I completely forgot wintertime and summertime :-D.

So, this morning, I have made my round through the house, setting mobile phones, kitchen equippment, bedroom clocks, harddisk recorder and of course my watches and that of my GF. I still have to set the clock in my car, something I always forget because it's not something you do directly in the morning.

Then I realised that with only 2 Breitlings (and the B-1 is easy to set) I am done quickly! What about guys like Lou and Ron, Davey and some others with loads of watches! They almost have a days work setting everything right.

So, for all of you, good luck hacking that second hand on all your watches and enjoy the beauty of time :-!

Kind regards,

Cinq

Well I've done mine, all except the cars and my motorbike that is.

Don't forget the heating!

Last spring, I solved the problem: all my watches got adjusted to -19.7 seconds a day. That is, today they exactly reached -1 hour.
Look, Ma', no hands! :gold

Re-adjusting all the watches to +19.7 secs/day is a pain, though...

Cheers
Don

Ahh well here we are springing forward today. Only three to deal with and a couple of wall clocks.

Forgot you were south of the meridian there. I guess that's why they call it down under, duh!
Those must be platinum blond hairs I have, not gray. What a relief!!!!:-)

from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) requesting a time hack using my SuperQuartz B-1. I really don't mind giving them a little help twice a year. Not a well known secret in this hemishpere that the NIST has to do this in order to keep that pesky atomic clock within tolerance. I was a little surprised they waited almost six hours to make the call. I reset the B-1 precisely at 0200 hrs. and they normally call a minute or two right after that. Probably fell asleep at the switch again. Too bad they don't have this one to keep things right all the time... :-)
