Not as famous as Omega,Longines etc. but a milestone among old brands.

The movement is the well known 215 without chrono parts.
Simple and strong.

Cheers, Aldo.:-)

What a lovely watch! Huge movement - I bet it helps the accuracy. I have always thought highly of Angelus - one of the older brands that attempted to make more than just "ordinary" watch movements (three hand plus date). I especially admire their "proletarian" repeater watches, an attempt to make this kind of weatch available to a wider audience. Their chronos were also rather nice. If I had a choice of being able to resurrect three companies that went bust through the quartz crisis, Angelus would almost certainly be one of them.

Totally agreed together with 240 caliber, the 16''' clock/alarm clock movement, one of the most beautiful movements for travel clocks.

This is my idea of a classic vintage watch. Dressy and functional.
I find it interesting that it is a 16 jewel movement. Does that mean that the center wheel is jeweled only on the back plate near the Angelus lettering?

Angelus is one of the finest Swiss engineered watches made the world over, Angelus, in its heyday was on of the most successful and prolific watchmakers in the world, making both pocket and wrist watches.
