This is the bridge over the Tavy river in Tavistock, Devon UK. My wife was born in this lovely town. I was trying out my FIL's 50mm lens for the first time that day, and it convinced me to buy one! Just wish I had some filters that day, but there will be more opportunities to photograph the town.

Fantastic shots Bruce... makes me want to visit. One of my interests is architecture. The bridge is great, but I can see a church in the background that looks beautiful. You don't get that old world charm here in the states. Please post some more great pics!

Nice one Bruce. In return here is the Mississippi River Bridge (1901) in Pakenham Ontario. This 5 arch structure is the only one in Canada.

Thanks HW! Here's the church, though not the best pic.

Information Overload:
The church is called St. Eustachius - named after a 3rd century martyr and patron saint of firefighters.
It was built in the 15th century and would likely be called "Perpendicular Gothic" in style. The greenish colored "Hurdwick stone" was quarried locally.
