An LM-1 rubber strap just showed up on my desk at work. I guess I was one of the random drawing picks.
The strap is nice. The rubber is very supple and the buckle is nice as well.
I just wish the watch was attached:roll:

Ten were mailed, five to active posters, and five random. Two went to Canada.

I received mine today and, with no exaggeration whatsoever, this strap is the softest, most supple strap I've ever had the pleasure of handling.
I can't wait to try it on my OCEAN7 LM-1 when it arrives!
P.S.- It looks pretty darn good too! :gold

Looking at the pictures, are we seeing the front of one side and the back of the other? Do the two channels that are visible on the buckle portion also visible on the other piece?

I received my strap today too. It really is a great diver strap, probably the nicest I have seen. Its very supple with not a hint of "stiff" to it. Personally, I've not seen one like it. The Ocean7 logo on the buckle and keepers is a nice touch too. Mitch, you definitely will not have to eat this one for breakfast. Its a winner! :-) A few more pics and please excuse the stray dog hairs!

Mark,
It will not ship with a blue strap! The same strap used on the LM-1 will come with the watch, unless the band is ordered.

Mike, if the dog hairs are blonde, they came with the strap! It's soft because it's made of silicone, not rubber.
I've been having second thoughts about not making it compatible with Panerai buckles instead of designing a custom buckle - something to think about for the future. All it takes is money - another mold charge.

What's crazy is some of those original color Ploprof straps sell more money than the LM-1.

I'm hoping that some of the Panerai owners 'over there' realize that they can buy an accessory for their 'luxury' straps, for the cost of two straps.

2 Blue straps sold for $560.

1 Red strap sold for $930 O|
1 Yellow strap sold for $1080 :rodekaart O|

Amazing! The manufacturer told me that we can make any color, for a little more money. I really can't think of any other colors we would want, though. I did ask for deeper engraving in the future, and that will cost more, too. They have to use a different machine to do it. I'm not sure a yellow strap would be very popular.

At $300-$1000+ a bottle some would use the same words about your Screaming Eagle wine purchase. I mean at least the person with the strap has something besides a glass bowl of corks once they have used it.;-) :-D

Oh, PuhLeeeeeze!!! It's a hunk of rubber...probably worth all of 29¢...I don't care what color it is, it's a mass-produced, injection-molded watch strap?!! It's not exactly the Bayeux Tapestry! I don't know of any straps that are worth a grand, even the goofy-assed, vintage Panerai jobs some guys get all weepy over, so I'm certainly not gonna think a blob of yellow rubber with an Omega logo on it is worth that kinda dough!
And as for the wine...oh, never mind...why am I even trying to bother......

Nice, Brad!
I think the strap came out ok, certainly better than many on the market, but if I were to do it again, I'd make some changes.
First, I didn't make it thick because I wanted it as soft as possible. Being that it's silicone, that was never an issue. An extra mm would have been nice. Also, instead of trying to reproduce the original PloProf buckle, it would have been more economical to make the strap compatible with Panerai buckles, allowing a greater chioce. They do fit with no problem, but the slots are a little too wide and it doesn't look very good.
If I do sell a bunch of these separately, I'll probably put the money toward a new mold, but I will also keep these in stock.

Hi Mitch and fellow 07 LM-1 fans.
I received the 07 strap the other day and would like to post my
thoughts and pics on the strap.:-!
I tried to put it on my UTS no luck, tried the Stowa and Rasmus to tight. I looked at the U1 and it had a better chance of putting the thick end of the 07 strap on because of the sug case indentation.
The strap is 24mm and the lugs on the U1 are 22 but it worked out great.
Wearing the strap I already found out it is for me to long, as Mitch already stated this is the case it can easily be cut, all it is for me the end sticks out more than I like. The soft silicone is so comfortable, and the increased thickness at the lugs does not allow it to pull off under any tension. I tightened the strap up to a very tight cinch to see how it held up and to see if it caused any reactions to my wrist.
Nope it help up tremendous |> ,did not cause undue marks, it was only felt as being tight but again very comfortable.:gold
I have been wearing the strap for 24hrs non stop- very comfortable A+.
I noticed the strap has a mirror design, having 2 ridged lines running on the buckle side exterior and non ridged with horizontal lines on the wrist side. The long strap is the opposite, being horizontal lines on the outside and 2 ridged vertical lines on the inside.
How did it wear? Great.
Soft silicone is easy to wash, as I wash my hands 50 times a day, does not carry residue, it will collect dust as it is very porous, but wash’s up with plain water.
The flat broad buckle is a perfect colour that BTW matches the sinn case pretty good.
I emailed and talked to Mitch and the only thing I see that I would like is future colours like discussed in previous days threads and If I had a wish I would love to see the thickness of the strap from the lugs back go from the 3mm to 5mm as the LM-1 and watches like the U1 IMHO need a thicker straps to offset the size/weight of the watch.
Mitch way to go, I like it, and now I actually have a second strap for my U1 as I have not been able to find many that can carry off the watch like the bracelet and original U1 strap do so well.
Thanks for the opportunity to see the strap and review it.
Sorry if I was over kill in the pictures.
Regards
Robert

Malyel I think your'e right, though I wondered why this side has the the Ocean 7 name so that when it goes through the buckle it shows the name when the end is through the strap holders, turn it over to match and the name is not seen. And I put the other strap on the other way only because of the buckle alignment, boy do I feel stupid. Sorry guys must have been in too much of a hurry to put it on the watch, thanks Malyel for catching that.

Today I ordered a mold to be made for another strap. This one will be PU, not silicone, and it will be modeled after the Panerai rubber strap. The size will be 130mm/80mm, and Panerai style buckles will fit. It will be available in black and orange, and I should have it at the end of January.
By the way, the MOQ (minimum order quantity) for silicone straps in different colors is 500 pieces, so that's not an option for now. PU colors do not have a minimum quantity.
