Anyone have one of these? They seem like a great value for the money, but the mineral crystal turns me off somewhat....anyone know it is is also available in Sapphire?

No, AFAIK its not available in sapphire. However a scratched mineral crystal can easily be polished back to as good as new.
As you pointed out. Its good value for the money.

I've had mine for about a year and I love it!! I too was hesitant about the mineral crystal (I usually scratch them) but have not had any problems/scratches with my glycine!
