The new case backs are on the FedEx truck for delivery today.

So far every owner that I have discussed this with, has requested that we ship the new case back directly to them. If anyone wants us to arrange round trip shipping and installation, let me know privately. If we do the swap, the original back will not be returned to you.

Thanks for the update, Mitch. Looking forward to receiving it. ;-)

Though I have no intentions of swapping in the new case back at this time, it will be very nice to have and I really appreciate you making the effort to provide them to us. |> |>

Agreed. Mine will stay in the box.

I do have to install one to make sure it fits and also to check the water resistance, but I will put the original one back on the watch.

"...I have no intentions of swapping in the new case back at this time..."

Not me...I'm swapping the thing out the second I get it! My girly-man wrists must be sandpaper rough, 'cuz the polished section of my back a few fine scratches seconds after I removed the protective plastic cover, just as I knew it would based on how the proto case looked when I got it. I am gonna be VERY happy to have the brushed caseback!

BT

PS: Mitch...will my watch guy have any problems taking the back off the LM-1? Any special case-back tool required???

Brad, it's easy. All it takes is a case back wrench. Every self-respecting watchmaker has several.

Here's a new back.

Thanks for the update Mitch.

I, too, plan on keeping the original on the watch. I think it lends some "charm" to the limited production, first edition.

Same with me here Mitch just send me the new back. I don't
have plans to change it but to keep it as a special souvenir of the
watch.:-!

The case backs will be shipped in about three weeks. I am waiting for production of a gift that will be included with each back. Meanwhile, we will pack and address the packaging so that they will ship when the gifts arrive.

Wow. Above and beyond the call of already exemplary service. I too will opt to leave the original version on the watch (I guess I can rip off the protective cover now ;-) ) and reserve the "new" case back for a later occasion.

Hi Mitch,
I love the watch. Please just ship the back to me. Not sure when I will put it on.
Thanks a lot for all your efforts,
David

Mitch, this is awesome service!! You are :gold!

Regarding the serial numbers on the LM-2, 3, etc. (and please excuse me if this is mentioned in another thread) will there now be a single sequential series of numbers following on from SN000150 (the last LM-1)? Or will there be a new set of numbers for each model (e.g. an SN000024 on the LM-2, an SN000024 on the LM-3, etc.)?

Cheers,

Guy

Thanks, Guy. Each model will have it's own serial number range starting at SN A000001. Each production run of a given model will increment the letter. After we get to "Z", call me at the old age home, and we can discuss! The new LM-1 will start at A000151, or maybe B000151.

Ta Mitch - having now read the LM-2 thread I see it was there all the time!

Hi Mitch,

Any update on the shipping of the new casebacks, please?

Cheers,

if the next production run of the LM-1 is identical to the first run (same movement, case, etc) then the numbering would start at A000151 to indicate that it is a continuation of the series. otherwise, imo it should begin w/B000001.

New backs will go out later this month.

The new regular production LM-1 will start with serial number A000151. It should be available in the late summer. Design work is finished.
