I picked my LM-1 today. It has exceeded my expectations. The pictures on the forums, as impressive as they were, do not do the LM-1 justice.
I'm simply astounded by what Mitch has been able to achieve. After picking it up and put it on my right wrist, and had my SeaDweller on my left. Everyone that I showed the watch to this afternoon was extremely impressed.
I've been collecting since my University days in the early 1980's and have owned pretty well everything. Dollar for dollar the LM-1 is certainly the most impressive watch I've seen during that period. Simply unbeatable value (until perhaps the LM-2 gets delivered) :-)
I'm very much looking forward to the LM-2 and watching Ocean7 grow from strength to strength.
Bravo Mitch! Well done and continued success.

Thanks everyone. After looking at the Don Ginsler Buffalo I guess its time to go strap shopping. I quite like the O7 rubber strap but a little variety can't hurt.

After receiving the watch, I can state that while I thought (way back in April) that a $700 price point for an Ocean7 (or any new brand) could be stretching things (vs. the competition), that was before the design started to get finalized, case pictures started to appear, and it became evident how serious Mitch was with the project. Talk at that stage was hypothetical.
As noted, I was very impressed with the pictures on the forum, but holding the real thing only reinforces my view that Mitch has accomplished something exceptional. In light of what's been produced I think that the LM-1, and surely the LM-2/3/..., will be very competitively priced relative to the competition. A bargain in fact!
Who knew Mitch would have produced something which has exceeded already high expectations. :-)
Based upon what's been produced and what's in the pipeline, I'm sure Mitch and Ocean7 will enjoy great success. I certainly plan on adding many more to my collection :-!
Lastly, relative to anything I've seen and owned, the LM-1 represents unbeatable value. Its really hard to believe that its the first watch launched by the brand since its design and execution is so mature.

Thank you Malyel! Wearing it today in preference to my SD and PAMs.
I assume you are a fellow owner. Enjoy yours as well.
