Is there a official time website to set my watch against?Download the software from this site ... http://tf.nist.gov/service/its.htm (right side of the page) and just before you get ready to set your watch, query the NIST server using the software... Your internal PC time will then be correct which must be done prior to using the PC to set your watch. Next, go to this site... http://home.tiscali.nl/annejan/swf/timeline.swf for a very easy to use digital visual image of the correct time. Let us know how you get on... :-)
Cheers,
Ron

Colin,

I have a B-1 that is very accurate. Send me your SuperOcean and I will happily set it for you:-) . Always willing to help - That's just the kind of guy I are|> .

If you know your relationship with US time zones in hours, the official US time website www.time.gov (http://www.time.gov) is a decent place to check for minutes and seconds. Accurate to 0.3 seconds so they claim.

An alternative Colin is to have your PC clock regularly updated automatically while you are online. Free software like Dimension 4 (http://www.thinkman.com/dimension4/) will do this at whatever interval you set, and with a wide choice of timeservers. It's a bit of a no-brainer to install and set up.

Ian, you are surely mistaken!?!?!?!

It's definitely 23 minutes past 2pm GMT.
I've just checked, honest...

Actually, at the third stroke, it will be nearly twenty five past three.

Do you think that the moderators should make this a sticky so that anyone wanting to know a resonably up to date assessment of the time can find it.
