Hello everyone! The battery in my Speedmaster X-33 has been changed, so the digital display is now back and everything works properly, except for the second hand, which still skips every 5 seconds, as if to indicate the battery is nearing end of life. Is there some sort of reset that I missed when the battery was replaced or does this indicate some other sort of issue with my watch? Any help would be greatly appreciated...thank you in advance!!

Hi William, presumably the battery is brand new and of a good quality (Energizer, Renata, etc.), I've changed an X-33 battery myself and didn't encounter the problem you describe. There's certainly no "reset" feature as such, you simply replace the battery and reset the watch as you would normally do. This thread, particularly Zaphod's excellent pictorial guide, may help you decide if you overlooked something...

Hope this may help and I would try another battery before you take any further action...

Sounds like a bad battery, is the back light working - on the one I had it stopped when the 5 second jump started.. and came back after the change
Good luck
