The before; left(as arrived at the doorstep), the after with all white hands; centre, and the final after; right with the black inner portions and black subdial hands. Just waiting to find an original style sweep on my travels. You can see that I had to paint the new subdial second hands as well as the hour minute and sweep. Remember this is a perfectly done redial hence the difference from the picture on the far left:

close up of the painted and relumed hands prior to insertion into case. Just testing the poise of the hands for 24 hours so that I know they are not going to hang up on each other. This saves pulling the movement out and resetting the hands.

Now the case will go to a friend who will resurface the sunburst pattern and the watch will be close to finished (just the sweep second hand required in the original style)
