1968 Glycine Chronograph, 1 of 100 made and so far only 5 known. Just finished dressing the case. It took two hours by hand with 400 grit wet sand paper to get the fine sunburst graining back on.

Hands were stripped and painted the two tone black on white. Luminous was remixed to match the re-dial luminous. A short note on the dial, I had it redone for obvious reasons (see picture) but the instruction was; "exact duplication of the original or don't do it". Think it turned out well. Subdial hands painted black. All gaskets replaced including the pusher and crown gaskets as well as the crystal and case gasket.

Movement dis-assembled and cleaned.

Hope you enjoy the pictures:

Hi -

Truly amazing, excellent renovation. The only real difference I see is in the central seconds hand, right? From the block to the arrow...

Your are correct John,

The original sweep is the block, but not the one in the original. Glycine only made 100 of these in 1968 and there are 5 known. The original block had been removed or lost in the past and was replaced by the standard time only sweep second hand from the time only SST.

The tube had been reemed and was not salvageable, so until I find a block with correct tube or a better tube the arrow has to do.

Cheers, Geoff
