I rescued this Favre Leuba (gents, but small) watch a few years ago from ebay - it had a cracked glass and needed a new mainspring to run and then it was good to go. Its been fine ever since - but I'd like to know a bit more about it - its a manual wind, in a stainless case.
This is my watch - see thumb
This is the closest I've found on the web link (http://www.cjbalm.com/watches/watch50.htm) which says its a Favre Leuba "Alresist". British Civil Service (India) Issue. c.1939. This (http://www.ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-db.cgi?10&ranfft&&usau&1085583630) too is also a close relation. My watch has a serial of 3509 - anyone have any info or comments?
Thanks a lot - this is a nice forum :)

I would say you have identified the vintage pretty well. Thanks for posting.
