I just want to recommend this excellent book detailing one man's quest to track down and interview the remaining 12 moonwalkers from 1969-72. It was published in 2005, when 9 of the 12 were still alive.
It's very well written and entertaining, and does have a little bit about the Speedmaster and Omega's endorsement of the space programme. I didn't realise that Neil Armstrong chose not to take his watch to the moon, and that Buzz Aldrin tried to unsuccessfully sue Omega for using his image in an advertising campaign.
It's a hard book to put down.
