:-) This one is not a Breitling, but I'm putting it on this forum because there's
more action here. This one is as cool as any Breitling cap and you won't feel ashamed wearing it. There's no forum for this one. Same rules, US and Canada
mailing addresses only. This one goes to the 8th responce.
Good luck,

:-( Three replies in seven days, that's sad. I'm tossing in the towel on this one.
Maybe the public forum in about a week.

Dick me old mate,
I think the change in your screen sig has confused some of the gang. Don't take umbrage, we are living in a confused state since the melt down of the server. Give it another shot and let them know who you are!

Dick, don't be discouraged. I think the current state of the forum is a bit confusing to folks. I have wondered if I was reading (and responding to) current posts, or posts from back when we changed over (May was it?).

Give it a bit of time, and thanks for the generosity you've demonstrated time and again :-! .

Also a reitteration of what " Same rules " means might be in order for those, like myself, who missed the original Rule Statement.

Thanks. :)

That's me. Am I the winner? That's about the same feeling I get every time I enter one of Dick's little lotteries. Not going to waste any more time with them. :-( Ron

PS. Hey, did you ever pick up the Navi you were thinking about getting? :-) Cheers,
Ron

Hi Ron,

No, never did and my Navitimers are down to two - an 809 Cosmonaute from 1967 and a white dialed Navitimer Olympus. I've done some wheeling and dealing and lost my manual wind Cosmonaute from 1998 in a trade. That hurt but I got a nice 18K Evolution in the deal so I'm happy. Good to hear from you. :)

Regards, Sarah

Well Dick I guess I still don't understand the rules. I have no idea what you mean by " you repeated " so I guess I'm with Ron on this.

That hurt but I got a nice 18K Evolution in the deal so I'm happy.I'm now wishing I had bought that white face Oly last year when I had it in hand still brand new at an AD. I think list at the time was a little over 5K and I could have left with it for a little under 4K. I was pursuing a CW at the time so I let the Oly go. An NOS Oly with box and papers just auctioned ("live auction") on Ebay for around 3.5K and I missed it too. :-( I think that model Nav is due to become one of the "classics" and will hold "value" as well and likely better than just about any of its contemporaries. It will, IMHO, become the "grail" of its time period, much like the DB Cosmo has for its time. As an aside, ya gotta love the 18K CE! :-! What presence! Congratulations on the acq! BTW, I think I have found your next Breitling for you. The NEW two tone SS/rose gold CE with gorgeous Roman indices! I know you probably LOVE the rose gold so when you buy this beauty, be sure to set aside about 8 months for me to borrow it for analysis and review. :-)
I'll even send you a hat and you won't have to buy another lottery ticket to win it! :-D Cheers,
Ron

Your next Chronomat Evolution....

----------------------------------

I really want to see that Rose Gold and SS Evo in person! I wonder what it would look like with a MOP dial? :) That would indeed be a gorgeous watch!

I love my Olympus. I lucked out and found mine for sale on another watch fora. I haven't been wearing it much lately however as I picked up this Chronomat about two months ago. The dial is a custom and it's BLINGY as all get out, but I love it because it's tough as nails with the steel head and bracelet, yet it's fancy and sparkles. :) Just perfect for me.

And I still would like to add another " modern " Cosmo to my collection sometime in the future.

Breitling - " It's an obsession. " :)

No thanks, Dick. I asked for a simple and concise answer but already I've wasted enough of my time with you and your cryptic answers. I won't be chasing my tail playing your game.

Good luck to the winner. :)
