Hi all,
I am a newbie to the forum and also am a newbie to Breitling watches. I am interested in buying a Chronomat Evolution two toned watch and bracelet. I am going to be traveling to Western Europe in July from Canada and was wondering where the best place to purchase one from an authorized retailer is?
What about the duty free stores at the airports?
Thanks

Hmmh, probably not such a good idea...
Prices in Europe are quite high when compared to North America and discounts are not as widespread.
Duty Free shops may be an option, but I would check availability of a particular model beforehand.
In many airports within the EU (European Union) Duty Free shops have disappeared and have been replaced by so-called Travel Retail shops, which look and feel similar, but offer often only the same, or slightly lower prices than on high street.
If you travel to countries that are not part of the EU, like Switzerland, you are probably o.k. and in case of Zurich a well known dealer from downtown Zurich has two dedicated watch shops in the duty free area.
Have a good trip!

About two years ago I had a look at prices and found that buying watches in Europe is generally not a good idea, but it can never hurt to look and get a feel for prices over there.
