When you've seen original Mudman watches, you'll know that the watch pictured above is fake:
- It uses a two-letter abbreviation (TU) for the day, instead of the three-letter abbreviation (TUE) found on an authentic G9000 Mudman.
- The watch should display the date i.e. 6-30 opposite the day.
- The backlight should show the background as being brighter than the digits, rather than the other way around, unless the watch has a reverse LCD display.
- It has a G logo on the light button, while an authentic G9000 does not.
- The side buttons should be red and textured.
- The 'G-Shock' and 'Shock Resist' should be off-white/gray, not orange.
Seiya (www.seiyajapan.com (http://www.seiyajapan.com)) and Higuchi (www.higuchi-inc.com (http://www.higuchi-inc.com)) sell authentic Casio watches. There's also Amazon and eBay, although you need to have a discerning eye, especially when looking at limited edition G-Shocks. You can find authentic watches for sale on the WUS sellers forums as well.
