Are Breitling dials too "busy"? Let's look at...

No way. Its a personal choice but I love busy watches. The Skyracer will have to be my next one because it is SO busy.

It really is personal taste. I'd never buy a Navitimer, I just find them far too busy looking. In fact, the reason my B1 went from daily wearer to travel companion is the busy look.

My preference is for clean, easily readable watches. My Omega PO, Breitling Colt Quartz, and new Sinn UX all have dials that are immediately readable. If Breitling made a Colt Chrono with matching subdials instead of two-tone dial, I'd probably grab one.

It's not my type of watch nor could I afford it, but there's something about them that doesn't make me think it looks busy, especially the all white dial. It's definitely striking.

I don't think they're too busy if you use the features for what they were designed for. But, the fact is maybe one 1 out of 100 Navitimer wearers use the watch for anything other than telling time. Heck, my eyes can't see that stuff anymore anyway and I'd look rediculous carrying around a magnifying glass to compute time and distance.;-) I'd still love to own a vintage 806 or 809 in gold though just for the visual appeal.
