Hey guys - Bought a LNIB B-1 off of a wholesale powerseller on eBay and it didn't come with a manual. I've figured out all the functions, but I'm unsure about the screen that flashes "TON\L" on top and goes between "P," "P-H," "P-C," and blank on the bottom screen. I know it controls the beeps in some manner and turns them on and off, but what's the difference between the "P," "P-H," "P-C," and blank? What do those letters stand for? Thanks!

PS - LOVE the watch. It's my first Breitling after a couple Citizen Skyhawk Eco-Drives. Wish it was titanium (like my last Blue Angel Skyhawk) so it was lighter, but oh well!

Well, just heard a chirp at 9:00 pm and it was set to "P-H," so I know what that means...

Basically P means pips, thats the sound it produces.
P-H- Hourly. It'll pip hourly + each time pushpieces are pressed
P-C- Chrono. audible confirmation signal each time pushpieces are pressed + hour pips for time being measured
P- pips. audible confirmation signal each time pushpieces are pressed

I'm impressed, how did you know to sync the watch and such?

Well, like I said, I bought it from a wholesaler and it came all good to go, time and date set, synch'd, absolutely perfect, not a scratch on it (seller said it was probably a display unit).

Anyway, whilst messing around with it, somehow I got the second hand two seconds off from the digital display. I knew it didn't come like that so it must've been something I did. I messed with it and figured out that, while in chrono mode, pulling out the crown and twisting it synch'd the second hand back up to 12 o'clock to start the chrono. I did that, went back to "Time," and saw that it was good to go. Easy as that!

It was actually more difficult to figure out how to re-set and synch my Citizen Navihawk a while ago from memory and trial and error... The battery died a long time ago because I've been wearing Skyhawks since 2001. But, like the rest of you probably, we're watch whores and techie geeks and these things come naturally! :-!

Makes sense. Thanks!
