I got promoted at work last week so my wife bought me this as a present off Ebay tonight, cal.1045 Speedy Auto Day/Date Chrono. Should be here in the next day or two, seller's pic, I'll post my own when it arrives... :-!

Whew, you are a lucky man, Kieron! Congrats on the promotion and the incoming 176.0012. I let mine go earlier this year, and I've been missing it a lot, lately. It might be time to replace it.

I like the look of this watch, and the case doesn't seem as chunky and most from the 1970s. Iin fact, looks like the Mark II case, thickened to handle a 1045. Is that an accurate impression (this is one I've never handled)?
