As a collector i was never much interested in quartz time pieces. However this one came on ebay, complte with boxes etc and i thought it was an important omega piece so decided to go for it.
It is a megaquartz, the first in house quartz movement that omega manufactured in 1970's and the first mass produced swiss quartz watch ever made. It accuracy is within 5 seconds a month which is still pretty impressive.
With all these battery operated watches i worry whether i spend to much time with my Timex collecting friend :-d:-d
Lets see some other quartz omega watches ...

Just got this one - Omega De Ville - Quartz. Anyone have any idea how old this watch may be? Also what would be the approximate value (I seem to recall that these are one of the least valuable Omega watches out there...)? Still a nice watch though!
