Hello Lounaisse,
there's something in my head that says "1999", but I don't know why... can't find that particular model after a quick search into my documents.
Hey, have you noticed that there are two "45 minutes" rider tabs?

Hello Lounaisse,
there's something in my head that says "1999", but I don't know why... Hey, have you noticed that there are two "45 minutes" rider tabs?the lume dot on the 12 o'clock marker. The crown and pushers are also showing much wear and will need replacement as well as the hands and possibly the dial. This piece is long overdue for a complete service it appears from the photo. Adding the replacement price of crown, pushers and rider tabs to the normal almost $600 service charge means another few hundred dollars more at least to have it done. Without box and papers, the price is a little bit high for this one IMHO. I will research the year a bit later for you but off the top I agree with your opinion, mid to late 90's Chronomat. Probably even earlier based on apparent condition. This piece would be a great buy at around $1k USD on a "buy it now" if the seller would accept that amount as an offer. Because he is a jeweler, you can give him a phone call and try to negotiate. If he is insulted after explaining the upcoming expense on the piece (he is certainly aware of it), bump it up a couple of hundred and test the water with him. Maximum amount I would pay for this piece would be around $1250 and that would be only if I REALLY wanted this one. All just MHO of course.... Sound about right, Don? :-)
Cheers,
Ron
EDIT: Ooops. My mistake. It is at least a 2000-2002 model. Didn't notice the Chronometre on the dial. Kicks the value up a few hundred more. After starting at a little more than 1000, take your offer up to around 1200 to 1300 USD and explain the necessary upcoming service costs to him.
