Hello all,
How can i get rid of the magnifying window set in front of my date window, it is all scratched to hell.
I read somewhere that applying the end of a soldering iron will loosen the glue so it will come off??
Can you help. Thank you.

IMHO, the best way is to replace crystal. Other way is to polish magnifying window with Polywatch or with other polish paste.
If you use soldering iron you can damage not only magnifying window but crystal wholly.

Heat or acetone typically loosen the glue that is used to hold the magnifier in place.
However you should always remove the crystal from the watch first before you try either in order to avoid damage to the crystal gasket.
Most watchmakers should be able to help you and probably won't charge much for such a small procedure.
