LCD digital display. 1-I'm confused do you own it or are you looking to buy it?
2-You list model # K65062, this is pre-2000 AND PRE-SUPER QUARTZ.
3-You say it is Cal79, the super qaurtz in the Aero is a Cal 75., neither of these correspond with your model # which indicates Cal 65.
4-A super quartz would be COSC, the model # provided is pre-COSC.
So please give us the whole story.

It was an inside joke. There was some cat and mouse not long ago. But we do like to joke here. My only question is that the link you posted shows a COSC certificate. Does it match the watch? You will find that Ron is extremely knowledgeable but other members may be more versed in this model.

It would appear that you won the auction for $5042.
The model # K65062 is a correct # for PRE-2000model year.
In 1999 the watch listed for $9725 and could probably be had for a 20-30%discount. So if you figure a 25% discount you could have purchased the watch new for $7293.75. If ythe seller pd $13K for it he is either FOS or an idiot.
The "K" in the model # indicates a gold watch. So far so good, but it goes down hill from here.
The watch does not have a superquartz movement based on the model #, unless the seller can show you the paperwork indicating that Breitling installed a new movement at a servicing visit. The "0" in the model # indicates that the watch has a non-COSC rating.
The COSC certificate should have the watches serial number on it. This COSC cert probably does not, did he deliver it with the watch? Unless he can show the movement was changed the COSC cerificate is probably a fraud.
The Movement in this watch is a Cal 65 , not 79. The "65" in the model # indicates the movement. Breitling switched to the Cal 75 after 2000 this was the superquartz and COSC. In '06 Breitling switched to the Cal 79 also Superquartz and COSC. Price New $11,870.
My impression is that you've been had. But the damage may not be not all that bad:
1- The watch is Gold.
2- The price may be a tad high but probably not unfair for a gold watch.
3- The cal 65 Aero was extremely accurate and a very dependable piece. I have and Aero from 1995 cal56 and love the damn thing. Any time loss is negligable
Of course you did not get what was advertised. In the future it would be wise to ask the forum before you buy.
You might want to:
1- verify that the watch has a Breitling Movement in it
2- They should be able to verify the cal of the movement when they check it
3- You might want to go back to the seller and ask for some cash back or a return of the watch.
If it was me and the watch turned out to have a Cal 65, I would probably look for some cash back and keep the watch. if refused I'm not sure I'd send it back, I might just keep it.

I am looking at the Aerospace gold watches on e-bay and found this thread..
Currently there are two watch on e-bay, both have the same model number.. K65062, but they look different.
Watch 1 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=200144546793&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=010)
This one is obviously older..
Watch 2 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=280197532538&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=018)
This one looks newer and claims to be a super quartz.. The dial says repetition minutes. Is this watch the same one that is discussed earlier in this thread?
Could the super quartz version have the K65062 designation?

Ejc, more to the point, we are not here to give on the spot valuations for auction purposes.
End of story.
I'm locking this thread until further notice.
In fact I consider this thread a sales post and may delete it after further consultation.
