Well I noticed today that my T3 had a dead battery. So I went and got a new battery but was really dreading having to reset all the data!
No need... I popped the new battery in and all I had to adjsut was the time. All the data (and wheel size and my info) was still in there!
COOL! That was painless!

wow! I was just wondering today....in order for its memory not to be affected by the loss of power I guess it has to be some kind of flash based memory:think:
I like to tinker with tech toys and look in their guts, but I guess we will have to only speculate what kind of memory storage suunto uses....anyway, it is good to know that data stored is not affected by battery changes. Another nod to Suunto

Not necessarily flash. I could just be residual charge left in some compactors which keep the memory going until the battery change was complete. Even though the battery seems dead, there's still a trickle to keep the memory going.
