Thank you...I registered with WUS because of the new Fortis Forum! I have been a lurker for some time and contribute to a few other sites, but I am glad to be a part of the WUS community.
I am waiting for my wife to pick up my Fortis Cosmo GMT for my B-Day!
Thanks again for the NEW place to chat...

Thanx, there aren't Fortis forum around, thewatchboard used to have one, but the new owner closed it down.
I hope this forum picks up, Fortis really deserves their own space.

I agree. Fortis doesn't get the respect they deserve IMO. They've obviously been the inspiration for many Pil-Mil brands, and they should be noticed. Thanks, WUS!!

Ernie...Thanks for giving us Fortis guys a chance. I'm a fan of their dive watches so the Fortis talk on the Pilot's & Military and Affordables forums aren't of much interest. Now that there is strictly a Fortis forum, maybe more Fortis divers will surface.
Hopefully there will be enough traffic to keep the ball rolling. I'll at least try to do my part.:-!

Hi
WUS this is absolutely great!!:-!:-!:-! FORTIS makes some great watches, and I think there are more FORTIS lovers out there, than we realize. Unfortunately I am at sea at the moment, but when I return I will post some picture of my B-42 Cosmonaut Chronograph alarm wonder.

I have just purchased a Fortis B-42 Official Cosmonauts Chronograph, from one of our members, I am waiting to see how good they are, when it arrives. Can I fit a display back to it?

Don't quote me on this, but I believe Fortis will put a display back for you. Just be warned that the movement is pretty much stock, only bearing Fortis engraving on the rotor (AFAIK).
Again, this is from my experience gathered on forums, I am not absolutely sure.

Thanks Ernie! Fortis is on the move and hopefully this will be one site they can directly support. On my part I have been impressed with their range and also the value. Hopefully they will maintain their price range and compete on designs and providing quality.

Late log in - but great to finally see a Fortis forum here! I'm a big Fortis fan, my first ever 'proper' watch being a Fortis Pilot Professional Day / Date that I bought in 2002, and has remained a firm favourite ever since. Haven't bought any additional Fortis models but overall, I think they offer the best modern mechanical pilots style watches on the market. I hope that the expansion of their models on offer ( so far great additions to the core models ) won't lead them to lose focus on what they do best - very high quality, rugged, no nonsense instrument watches at great value prices. In this regard they are a bit like Sinn; however, owning watches from both brands, I have to say that my Fortis watch's feel, fit and finish somehow seems more carefully considered and well balanced. Great watches and great new forum!
Sorry I haven't a picture - can't find a way of reducing the size on my Mac ( I - Photo experts anyone? ).

:thanks Ernie, really excited about the idea of a Fortis forum! :-! I have always wished there would be a dedicated forum to what is currently my favorite brand of watch. While I'm at it, after over a year on your site, thanks for running what I believe to be the best watch site on the net. |>

i am sure there are more Fortis nuts out there like myself that will love to have a
