O.K. lets rephrase the question: parts from how many different watches were used in this one....

Yee-ikes. That ones really...something...special, Joe. There's certainly nothing "Ranchero" about it, unless that's Spanish for #&%*. But, I think we both know it means "salad dressing."
How much you gonna bid?

Those all appear to be authentic Rancheros, at least from the outside. There was also a gold model and a sweep seconds model.
The ebay listing has the wrong case reference, wrong caliber (should be c.267 or 268 for the sub-seconds version), wrong (fake?) hands, and a repainted dial.
It is a nice movement, though!

I often think these would be a good source of parts, if the price was right. Somehow these all end selling for quite a bit...

Yeah, if the price stayed down, it really is one of Omega's great movements. But, other than that, I'm not sure what I could use. Even the case looks like it's been polished down to skinny little lugs.
You're right, though. I wouldn't be surprised if this still went for a good chunk, somehow.

Several issues:
1. While the case and movement might actually be a match... they are not from a Ranchero. Wrong movement and wrong case ref#.
2. The military markings on the back are wrong. There is a marking missing (which I will not elaborate upon as not to help creative "entrepreneurs"). Even if the marking were present - it would still be on the wrong case.
3. The dial is a bad redial job at best.....
4. Hands are wrong and not even close to the original..
Other than that - quite nice.... and coming from a 100% feedback seller you know its got to be the real deal:roll:
