Tell how your Breitling found its way to you..
Below is a picture of my 1960s Breitling Navitimer 806. In the 1960s before my mother and father were married, my mother worked in a department store. She bought the Breitling as a gift for my father from a Breitling salesman who visited the store. My father used the watch for many years but eventually put it away in his desk. I remember playing with this watch when I was a kid, but not until I was in my early 20's did I realize what this really was. I told my parents that I was very fond of the watch and I got it as a gift the next Christmas

3 from our favorite auction house and one from the sales corner. I have yet to buy one from my AD. I've bought tons of straps from him but no watch. I don't think he likes me much.

My story isn't really that good. I got mine from my AD. After going back to the store the 4th time I finally bought my super avenger. I told you it wasn't exciting.:-x

I have bought 2 from an AD in the Carribean (2 new B1's), 3 from auctions on the bay, 1 from a "grey market" dealer and 3 from private parties (met through the internet on forums). My father and brother also got 3 B's between the 2 of them on the bay...
Each one has a long story attatched to it, including lots of luck and lots of time spent looking. Anyhow, I wont bore you all with the stories....

Great watch and a great way to get one.
Yours is in fabulous original condition by the way and I wouldn't go mucking about with it in anyway whatsover - no need to re lum just get it serviced at somepoint.
Wear it well :-)

My first Breitling is a SuperOcean with black dial. I really took to the watch right away. I took it off the original professional bracelet and put it on a honey colored alligator strap.
Really looks sweet!
Got it from a respected member of this forum.
Best regards,

Thanks Brad, and I agree, no need to have anything done other than service - it's just showing patina and age :-)
