If you guys will take a look up top, you will see that the level headed SnapIT has been at work and has gotten us a fake buster subfora. We seem to be bombarded these days with requests to verify authenticity on watches, bracelets, UTC's, etc. This will be the place for those threads. Feel free to help people out accordingly there. Thanks to SnapIT for a great idea. We will be moving some posts in the meantime to that subfora.

Great call Guys.
I think a Breitling Radar is a wonderful idea!

Thanks for posting up this notice Todd.
The idea is to collect the related threads and any new requests into one place. If this is done on a consistent basis then our collective knowledge of the problem will be retained in this place instead of passing from view after a couple of weeks. As mods we see the same or similar questions coming up again and again. Maybe, with a fixed place for similar threads, we can shorten everyones search for answers to fake busting questions.
Over to you gentlemen.

Great idea! Nice to have a place to identify the frankenwatches and fakes we all see everyday.
Thanks!

Why not look at the dedicated replica watch forums also? Heaps of pics and info on those.

I keep a sub-folder in my bookmarks of websites that sell fakes for reference. Most of these sites have hi res pics of the watches they sell so it is the best way I have found to compare, especially if I am considering buying off the big action site or pre-owned. As metro23man stated the replica sites are also a good resource because they discuss in great detail the differences in the fakes and genuine watches. The only downside is that you need to register on these sites in order to view the full menu of topics which is a little spooky.
